Natural resource camp in New Mexico seeking Oklahoma students
May 10, 2010

The Southwest region of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS) is seeking applications from incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to participate in their annual natural resources youth practicum.  The youth practicum will be held from June 21-25 at the Ladder Ranch in the mountains of New Mexico.  The only expense for selected individuals will be transportation to/from Albuquerque, NM.  Preference is usually given to students from the southwestern states, but very few applications have been received. NAFWS is now allowing students from Oklahoma to apply.  If you are interested in a career in natural resources (wildlife and fisheries ecology, forestry, hydrology, range management), don’t miss out on this opportunity to spend a week at the beautiful Ladder Ranch!  Applications must be submitted to NAFWS by June 4th.For more details, see Native American Fish and Wildlife Society website
