Osage 6th Grader inspired to write poem about "Wahzhazhe: An Osage Ballet"

So many people have enjoyed the new Osage Ballet that was presented in both Tulsa and Bartlesville on the first two weekends in August.

One young lady, of Osage descent, was inspired enough to write the following poem, after she saw the performance in Tulsa.

Watching dancers flit across the stage,

The lights dimmed and the audience quiet

The dancers tell a story from the past

About the Osage Indians, tall and fearless

Their life was an amazing tale

As the dancers leap and twirl, they tell the audience

the amazing history of these people

I watch and understand it all

From the beginning to the end.
