The Marginal Well Commission has teamed up with the Enviro Clean Products & Services, Zeeco, Inc. , Integrated Controls, Inc.and the Bureau of Land Management to hold a town hall meeting to discuss water and air regulations affecting the production of oil and natural gas in Osage County. This workshop is open to the oil & gas industry, royalty owners, land owners and citizens. Pre-registration is required. Enviro Clean’s Air and Regulatory update portion of the workshop will review the applicability of the Green House Gas mandatory reporting requirements, the deadlines and implementation of the new federal Quad “O” New Source Performance Standards applicable to the Oil and Gas Industry and the Quad “J” New Source Performance Standards for compressor engines (and replacements). Select case studies will be reviewed to provide you with working examples of these regulations. Zeeco's presentation will discuss the latest mandated EPA regulations with regard to the Clean Air Act. This includes 40 CFR 60.18, Quad O, and guidance for cost-efficient and effective flare system designs. Mr. Schwertferger of the Bureau of Land Management will be presenting an overview of the fundamentals of Hydraulic Fracturing as applied to a horizontally drilled well, reviewing the common chemical makeups of a typical “Frac” job, discussing the safety concerns currently voiced in the public media, and offering the most recent information on rule changes governing the Hydraulic Fracturing Process.
