The Skiatook Osage Casino held a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept. 26th for a new Osage Casino with 78,000 square feet of gaming space to be completed in the fall of 2013. The new casino will include the addition of a 33-room, full-service hotel and conference center.

“We are thrilled about the amenities this casino will be able to offer,” said Osage Casino CEO Neil Cornelius.

The planned three-level hotel will feature 31 standard rooms, two suites, a fitness center, swimming pool, breakfast dining area, meeting rooms and convention space.

Another popular venue will be the sports bar with multiple HD televisions, which can be viewed from every seat. The sports bar will also host live music and entertainment throughout the year.

“The dining options and amenities included in the renovation will allow us to offer a wide variety of fine options for our guests,” said Skiatook General Manager Edward Gray. The new casino restaurant will seat up to 60 patrons.

“Whether people are looking for a nice sit-down meal, or just wanting to have a drink and watch the games, we will be able to provide a fun, yet comfortable environment for our guests.” Mr. Gray said. The project will also include a newly designed convenience store.

“This establishment will offer great opportunity for economic growth in the Skiatook area,” Mr. Cornelius said. “We hope that this casino will attract other businesses to build nearby.”
