Chief Red Eagle thanks ON Wildland Firefighters

Osage Principal Chief John D. Red Eagle thanked the Osage Nation Wildland Firefighters for their work during this season’s drought and high fire risk. According to Osage Nation Emergency Management Department Director Bobby Tallchief, thirty-five firefighters came to Osage County to assist. Incident Commander Bob Mcrea from Montana took a lead role in the efforts.
 Although not all are in this photo, representatives from the following engines (E) provided their services: E-641 from Georgia, E-82 from Chichasaw, OK, E-2862 (Task Force Leader) and E-2803 from Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, OE-11-1 and E-651 from North Carolina, D-1 from South Carolina, E-3743and D-4 from Arkansas. Osage Nation Wildland Firefighers in the photo are: James Black, Joey Cheshewalla, Ross Walker, Brandon Gillum, Brad Hayman and Osage Nation Emergency Management Department Administrative Assistant Gabriel Turley.
