Mae Lassley, Osage Allottee #634, donated a monetary gift that made this scholarship possible for Osage Catholic students. She was a full blood member of the Osage Nation and passed away on  September 10, 1957. She felt deeply interested in young people and their welfare and dedicated her life to working in her church and helping others.

The Catholic church enjoyed working with the Osage Nation for over a century. Long before statehood the church became involved in the education of Osage children. This scholarship fund gives the Catholic church an opportunity to continue it's educational work for the Osage Nation.

Bishop Edward J. Slattery, Bishop of Tulsa, established a committee to recommend the scholarship awards:
  • Rev. Christopher Daigle, Pawhuska
  • Ms. Marianne Schroeder, Pawhuska
  • Ms. Lee Ann Ammons, Pawhuska
  • Mrs. Sarah Jameson, Diocese of Tulsa
In order to be eligible for this scholarship a student must meet all three criteria:
  • Catholic
  • Osage on the rolls in Pawhuska
  • must submit a copy of front and back of CDIB card
